The HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ) has announced new officers of its Board of Trustees and the leadership of its Steering Committee, effective May 26.
Jack Cox, Senior Director, Market Access Strategy, Novo Nordisk, has been elected Chair of the HINJ Board of Trustees. He previously served as Treasurer.
Mr. Cox has over thirty years in the pharmaceutical industry with experiences in marketing, operations, business development and market access. He joined Novo Nordisk in 2012 and is currently responsible for payer marketing and pricing/contracting strategy for the Insulin and BioPharm Franchise teams. Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, he worked at Accredo Specialty Pharmacy as Vice President, Business Development where he led the strategy development for pipeline products, managed manufacturer relations and contract negotiations. He earned his BS from Bowling Green State University and his MBA from Marshall University.
Mr. Cox succeeds Alex Kelly, Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Allergan.
Also at its May 26 meeting, the HINJ Board elected Elizabeth Woody, Vice President, Public Affairs, BD, to serve as Vice Chair. The new Treasurer is Christopher Lepore, Vice President, U.S. Government Affairs, Johnson & Johnson. Patricia Barbieri, Esq., Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Legal and Corporate Affairs, Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., succeeds Lisa Goldman as Board Secretary.
HINJ also has announced that Brian Kelly, Senior Director, State Government Affairs, Novo Nordisk Inc., has been appointed Chair of the HINJ Steering Committee. Wendy Lazarus, Director, State Government Relations, Pfizer, Inc., continues as Vice Chair.
