August 6, 2026 ― New Jersey’s continued leadership in the life sciences industry will depend on collaboration among government, industry, academia and real estate developers, panelists said during an Axria event in Piscataway.
ROI-NJ was on site Aug. 4 for “Policy, Patients and Properties: Shaping Life Science & Health Care Real Estate Development in New Jersey,” where industry leaders discussed how public policy, health care demand, economic development and real estate strategy are shaping the state’s life sciences ecosystem.
The panel featured Chrissy Buteas, president and CEO of the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey; Christopher J. Paladino, president of the New Brunswick Development Corp.; Sho Islam, director of the Middlesex County Office of Business Engagement; and Nishitha Kambhaladinne, CCIM, of Sun Realtors Group, who moderated the conversation.
