Choose New Jersey Seeks Scholarship Support and Internship Sponsorship for ‘Smart Students’ Program

Choose NJ Smart-students-logo-400x222Princeton, NJ, February 8, 2016Choose New Jersey, Inc. last month launched Smart Students Choose New Jersey, a scholarship and internship program that will recognize the best and brightest students in Newark and Camden who choose to attend a New Jersey institute of higher learning.

As a business community member, your company can participate in this pilot program by either sponsoring the program financially or by offering a paid internship to a student in the summer of 2017.

Smart Students Choose New Jersey is unique as it offers the opportunity for students to work at top businesses and organizations from around the Garden State — from Fortune 500 companies, to labor organizations and small businesses across a variety of industries and sectors.

The pilot program will reward the highest academically ranked graduating senior at each of Newark’s 33 public, private and charter high schools and Camden’s 11 public, private and charter high schools who choose to attend a New Jersey college or university.

The program will offer a one-time scholarship of $2,000 and a paid summer internship opportunity each year over three years.
