October 6, 2026 ― For generations, women have too often been asked to accept gaps in medical knowledge about their health as simply a fact of life.
Pain that goes unexplained. Conditions that go undiagnosed. Symptoms dismissed or normalized. Treatments prescribed without adequate understanding of how certain conditions may affect women differently than men.
But as medical treatments and breakthroughs continue to advance, New Jersey’s life sciences play an enormous role in making sure women are not merely an afterthought in research, innovation, or care.
New Jersey, called the “Medicine Chest of the World,” hosts a life sciences ecosystem that drives change. Biopharmaceutical, medical device, technology, and diagnostics companies aim to discover new treatments and cures, saving lives and improving outcomes worldwide – translating science into better patient care.
