HINJ: An Overview
Advancing Global Health and Leading New Jersey’s Economy
New Jersey is home to more biopharmaceutical companies than any other state in the country, or any other country in the world. The biopharmaceutical and medical technology industry is a major factor in creating a thriving economy in New Jersey, as well as making our state a leader in research and development.
Founded in 1997, the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ) is a trade association for the research-based biopharmaceutical and medical technology industry in New Jersey.
HINJ serves as a unified voice for New Jersey’s life sciences industry and seeks to build awareness of this industry’s impact on New Jersey’s quality of life and economic well-being.
HINJ strives to raise awareness, understanding and public support for the research-based biopharmaceutical and medical technology industry among New Jersey’s elected and appointed officials, media, citizens and opinion-leaders.
HINJ seeks to advance the development and implementation of sound public health and business policies that support the interests of New Jersey, its people and its research-based biopharmaceutical and medical technology industry.
HINJ aims to strengthen the impact of the research-based biopharmaceutical and medical technology industry by aligning its interests with the state’s leadership in allied fields.
